Las Vegas Country Club Review
The Las Vegas Country Club is a private club that is located right in the heart of the city. In order to join you will need to buy an equity membership. This membership will provide you with access to all of the clubs facilities and allow you to use the golf course and tennis facilities with no additional fees. There is also a non-resident membership available for people who don’t live in Las Vegas and spend fewer than sixty days a year there. This membership will allow you all the same privileges as the regular membership but does limit you to twenty five rounds of golf for the year.
The Las Vegas Country Club was initially founded in the late sixties when investors took over the grounds of a bankrupt horse racing track to build a golf course. The club changed owners several times in the seventies before finally being bought by the members and turned into an equity club. The club still operates as an equity club in which the members are the owners of the club. When the club was initially sold to the members they held a mortgage on the club but that has since been paid off so the club is now truly and equity membership club.
The most important part of a country club for most members is the golf course and this is one of the strengths of the Las Vegas Country Club. The course is one of the top ones in the city and has hosted many PGA and LPGA tournaments over the years. The 7200 yard par 72 course is challenging without being so difficult that players of a lower skill level can’t play it. The golf course overlooks the city of Las Vegas providing for one of the most unique views of any golf course. A recent renovation has brought the classic course up to modern standards while maintaining the features that made it a classic course.
There are plenty of other features besides golf that people look for in a country club, for the Las Vegas Country Club the tennis courts are the other big ones. There are six courts at the club four are out doors and professionally lit for tournament play. There are also two indoor courts so that members can play whatever the weather. In addition there is a full service pro shop that can help to provide you with all the gear that you need to get the most out of your tennis.
There are all kinds of other features for the use of members at the Las Vegas Country Club. These include a swimming pool, fitness center, lounge, dining room and even a barber and manicurist. There are also plenty of options for dining at the club. The Las Vegas Country Club is very much a full service club that provides all of the facilities and services that you would expect to find at a top quality club.
